Christ the King Catholic School celebrates eighty years of providing a quality education in Wyandotte County. In the 2020-2021 academic year, we retrieved our Catholic educational traditions by shifting to a classical liberal arts model with the help of experienced teachers and administrators that have seen tremendous success in revitalizing schools in this way.
EDUCATION FOR NOBILITY
Nobility is a character of soul. To educate for nobility is to draw out the excellence that is proper to every child through the cultivation of wisdom and virtue. Such an education is the right of every person. The recognition of the need for an education of the whole person has lead to the growth of the classical education movement throughout the country. This is true of people of many different faiths, not just Catholics. We welcome anyone who wishes join us in this exciting transformation of education and drink deeply of joy and wonder in a new educational setting. Our school fosters life-long learners who strive to enjoy what is beautiful, do good, and know the truth.
Christ the King has been awarded the 2020 Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann Catholic Education Foundation School of Excellence Award! This is the second time Christ the King has received this award in three years. The Award recognizes a CEF-sponsored school for providing superior Catholic education. The School of Excellence committee evaluates each school’s application based on the following criteria: Joyfully Catholic, Diligently Achieving, Intentionally Self-Giving, Prudently Managed, and Forwardly Thinking.
