It's hard to believe that I am starting my fifth year at Christ the King. I have retired from 36 years in the pharmaceutical industry and now find great joy and purpose working with our young students, accompanying them on their journey of knowledge, understanding and faith. I love being part of the CTK community and truly enjoy the students and staff. When I'm not at school I enjoy gardening, reading and spending time with my 4 children and 9 grandchildren. This summer I was given the wonderful blessing of celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with my bride, Kathy.
I am very excited to launch our new classical curriculum in this new school year. I believe the CTK students will respond well to it and thrive on its format and content. I am not your traditional candidate for teaching Middle School. But you should know that my education at Henry Ford Community College, Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan plus my life experiences have prepared me well to teach your students. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Minors in Chemistry and History. I also earned a certificate to teach Middle and High School. My life motto is, "A rosary in your pocket is more important than a wallet in your pocket." I look forward to a different kind of school year, given the pandemic, but a very hope-filled one for your student's growth. |
